Freezing rain & chickpea salad

Bah. Freezing rain foiled my hot yoga plans last night. It was supposed to start raining (and freezing) late last night but instead it started on my drive home from work. I figured it would be safer to stay in for the evening.

Instead of forcing myself to get on the treadmill last night, I took a rest day. I felt guilty about it for a while but once I focused on other things I stopped feeling guilty, and it was nice to spend the evening doing other things besides exercising. I really need to work on the feeling guilty thing though – that’s not a good way to be thinking.

Since I had the time, I pre-made a casserole for dinner later this week and also made Chickpea Salad from Oh She Glows.It is so good. And the blog entry with the recipe is right – it’s nothing like tuna salad. It’s it’s own thing. I have some with me for lunch today and it’s delicious.

I made a few modifications to the original recipe because I’m lazy. haha. White onion instead of red onion, I didn’t have any pickles so I just used some relish, no sunflower seeds (I’m not a fan) and no fresh dill (didn’t have any). You do what you can do.

Zumba tonight!!
