I have a weird confession. I am slowing starting to love hill training. Like, for real.
I’m not sure why. I’ve always sort of dreaded hills during races. But for some reason during training it’s almost… fun.
Maybe it’s because I’m being pushed along by a coach, or because it’s part of a training plan (and man, do I love to have a plan).
But the hill really make my runs go faster. This mornings 4-miler felt faster than my 3-miler yesterday.
I guess because it gives me something to focus on?
I don’t know, it’s hard for me to even understand, but I highly recommend working in some hill training if you feel like you need to switch some things up. 🙂
