Happy Thursday! Here are my thanks for the week.
I’m thankful for my kitties. They make me smile and laugh every day.
Just this evening I walked into the kitchen and was greeted with this.
Kitty butts! haha.
I’m thankful for rest days to give me some flexibility with exercise. I planned to do some speedwork after work today but it was super rainy. It’ll have to wait for tomorrow
I’m thankful for Pinterest. When am I not?? Dinner was a super quick and easy Mexican Casserole. The recipe can be found at Sing for Your Supper. Yum.
I’m thankful for cereal. Last week it was Cinnamon Life, this week it’s Cinnamon Cheerios. I’m addicted. It’s a great filling snack. 🙂
I’m thankful it’s Thursday! Almost the weekend, yesss!
When I was about to post this today over my lunch beak I honestly couldn’t think of anything I was thankful for. Pathetic right? It was just one of those days.
So I thought about it for the rest of the day. So here we go.
I’m thankful for Pinterest. This comes up almost every week, I know. This weeks find: homemade taco seasoning.
I’m thankful I got my butt out there and went for a run tonight. In the snow and cold. Why is it that the snow always seems to be blowing in your face regardless of the direction you’re going? Anyhow. It was supposed to be a 35 minute tempo run, but was more of a 25 minute run however I feel like. The first half was slow, the second half was super fast because I wanted to get out of the dark and snow.
I’m thankful tonight was leftover night. It made dinner easy peasy.
I’m thankful for a free weekend at home. I’m hoping to do some fun baking and a crockpot meal for Sunday dinner. Yum!
I’m thankful for my kitties. I had a dream last night that Gelsey ran away. It was horrible. I gave them both extra hugs today.
I’m thankful for spatzel. Let me tell you a quick story. When I was growing up, every year we would eat at this amazing German restaurant on the night of my dance recitals every year. I LOVED that place, and I loved their spatzel. When I was in college, the restaurant caught on fire and everything burned down. The owners of the restaurant opened up a new non-German themed restaurant a couple of years later. The kept a few of their German staples, like bratwurst and spatzel! I finally had the opportunity to go to the new restaurant last night and I ordered a veggie burger with a side of spatzel! It was as delicious as I remember it. 🙂
Enjoy your Thursday evening!
Planned workouts for the week

Tuesday – Zumba
Wednesday – 30 minute easy run
Thursday – 35 minute tempo run
Friday – Hot Yoga
Saturday – Rest
Sunday – 6 miles
I’m thankful for Pinterest. I’m not thankful for the fact that it constantly makes my mouth water, but I’m super thankful that I have a fun way to bookmark interesting recipes for dinners or desserts that I see. Once we eat all the sweets in the apartment that are left from Christmas, I’ll be breaking out the baking sheets again to make some new-found goodies. I’m excited.
I’m thankful for eggs. They fill me up like nothing else. yum.
I’m thankful for sick time at work. I woke up yesterday with a headache and a stomach ache. Instead of dragging myself into a miserable day of work I just stayed home and it was glorious. I started feeling better around noon and was even able to get a 30 minute run in during the daylight hours. It was awesome.
I’m thankful that Zumba starts on Tuesday. I’m ready to get my groove on again!
I’m thankful for Google Docs. I keep changing my weekly workout plan due to changes in my yoga studios schedule, and google docs makes it so nice and easy to update my plan accordingly to fit in yoga, zumba, running and arm exercises. And it’s accessible from everywhere, love that.
I’m thankful that it’s finally Thursday. Finally. That means tomorrow is Friday!!!
Happy Thursday! This Thursday came FAST. I love it.
I’m thankful I have found Zumba and Yoga this year. I’m realizing just how beneficial it has been to have some great cross-training outlets.
I’m thankful it hasn’t really snowed this winter. Seriously Mother Nature, keep it up. It annoys me when it snows so much that it affects travel, the grocery store and I have to dig out my car. I’ll take the little dustings. But ideally I’ll take some fall-like weather all year round.
I’m thankful for eggs and my rice cooker. I figured out how to steam eggs using my rice cooker and wow it made cooking eggs so simple! So I’ve been taking an egg a day in my salads this week. They fill me up so much, I love it. This is why I would have trouble going vegan.
I’m thankful it’s starting to get darker later. My evening runs won’t feel as rushed in the next few weeks.
I’m thankful for working out my race schedule for the year. It makes me excited and motivated! 🙂 Maybe this is a weird thing to be thankful for, but I’ll take it.
I’m thankful for hot chocolate with mini marshmallows. YUM.
Catch ya later!
Today was my last day of work until 2012, so I was thankful for many things.
I’m thankful that my boss thought we should have a breakfast meeting today. 2 hr lunch meeting until 11am + plus being told we can leave at 12:30 = 1.5 hrs of work. SWEET.
I’m thankful today was dubbed PJ day at work. This meant that half of the 1.5 hrs I was at work was spent gathering all of the other participants and posing for fun PJ photos. It also meant I was super duper comfy at work for the 1.5 hrs I was there. Who needs jeans when you can wear pajamas?
I’m thankful that I work for a university. We get Dec 23rd through January 2nd off, paid, without using vacation time, since the university is closed. Super awesomeness!
Okay I’m going to stop bragging about my awesome work situation, sorry about that.
I’m thankful I’m feeling much much better today.
I’m thankful that I went to yoga tonight. I feel noodley and it was good to sweat for the first time this week. I feel awesome right now.
I’m thankful that we have lots of fun plans for the next 11 work-free days (oops, I slipped, sorry), including visiting with family, going to a few parties, lots of running, yoga-ing, gift giving and lots of eating.
Enjoy the rest of your thursday!!
